Done right, a brainstorm brings out ideas from even the quietest team member. An online whiteboard makes that easier.
1. Write a clear question
Put a one-sentence question at the top of the board: "What could we try this quarter to win new customers?"
2. Let everyone write alone first
With private mode, people add notes without seeing each other's, so the first idea doesn't steer the group.
3. Set a timer
Five minutes is enough. A short time produces many ideas instead of perfect ones.
4. Group similar notes
Drag notes into clusters, or let AI group them by theme.
5. Vote
Give everyone three votes. The top three ideas move on.
6. Assign owners
Turn each chosen idea into a card with an owner and a due date.
7. Share the board
Send a share link to anyone who missed the session so they can comment later.
Tip: start from the "Brainstorming" template and most of these steps are ready for you.
